<p>“Diets don’t work!” We have heard this before and yet most of us are guilty of the same thing.  When realizing we carry too much fat and too many pounds, the first thing we say to ourselves is” “I should really go on a diet”.  And there lies the problem!  Instead of going on a diet, we should really adopt modest and gradual lifestyle changes and only though this can we expect to achieve an effective weight loss.  The goal is to lose weight slowly at the rate of one to two pounds a week whilst re-learning to appreciate the food that is good for our body.  Sprinkle to that a regular exercise program in which we set goals that are achievable and we have all the ingredients for a successful weight loss. No crash diet then, no skipping of meals and no drastic changes that can only lead to failure!  Ask any dieter and you will invariably get the same answer: “We have tried them all. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Can you recommend a &#8220;quick weight loss diet&#8221; I found myself asking my trainer the other day and as soon as I had said the dreaded words, I knew I had made a fool of myself!  Yes, I can achieve a quick weight loss if I went on a no eating diet for example, but can an efficient and lasting weight loss diet remain so if it is achieved too quickly?  Rather than striving for a quick weight loss diet, should I have not asked for an accelerated weight loss program?  My trainer proceeded to answer this question by the most strenuous training session I had had in a long time.  At the end of the session, I knew never to ask a silly question again!</p>
<p>Yet, the passing of time and the speed with which time is indeed passing is a perfectly relevant question! Is it not? You see, I have been lucky in my life to have been blessed with the joys of fatherhood.   </p>
<p>With children ranging from the age of 6 to 26, the passing of time, and more precisely the speed with which time is passing is something that has always amazed me.  And as I grow older, time is passing by faster and faster!</p>
<p>It is a notion that is difficult to convey to my younger children, even though they are of the generation of &#8220;I want it now and I want if fast&#8221;.  </p>
<p>And it not just the younger ones!  Nowadays we want it all, and we want it fast, and nowhere has this been truer than in our needs to lose weight!  And the media obliges with 7 days to lose 7 pounds, or the quick weight loss diet recommended by so and so on and so forth!</p>
<p>We live in the world of fast food brother!  Why shouldn&#8217;t I want a quick weight loss diet!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lose Body Fat!  It seems that every where you go, the mantra today is not so much the need for the majority of us to lose weight, but rather to lose body fat!</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t say I disagree mind you.  As a man largely (no pun intended) defined as &#8220;broad boned&#8221; I have always thought that it wasn&#8217;t so much the numbers displayed on the scales that mattered but rather the rolling blob on ones&#8217; stomach, the unwelcome and undesirable fat besieging most of us.</p>
<p>&#8220;You have a large frame!&#8221; my wife would softly tell me in her inimitable wise and soft spoken voice and whilst I never disagreed with what she told me, I wasn&#8217;t about to dispute her on this primal truth.  &#8220;Yes, I have a large frame and thus the numbers on my scales don&#8217;t really matter!&#8221;</p>
<p>Physically active throughout my life, I kept this large frame in shape by a regular regimen of sports and exercise and as a result remained fit and healthy.  Never really one for worrying about my diet and what I should and should not eat, I weighed practically the same throughout my 20s, 30&#8217;s and 40&#8217;s.</p>
<p>I weigh the same as I did when I was 30 years old I kept on saying to myself even as I was noticing that my daily exercise routine had largely diminished over the past 10 years to a point when I finally realized that 6 full months had passed when I last went to the gym.</p>
<p>&#8220;I have a large frame&#8221; I kept saying to myself when I finally decided to go back to the gym and as I went through the front doors, a familiar voice greeted me.  It was my old trainer, a person I hadn&#8217;t seen in nearly a year.</p>
<p>He was the same, sporting a t-shirt with &#8220;lose body fat&#8221; written across his chest and only when I saw myself standing next to him in front of the mirror did I realize that my large frame could no longer disguise the simple truth that I had gone fat,</p>
<p>We exchanged news and he led me to the beginning of the first step of my new life.</p>
<p>A &#8220;how to&#8221; lose body fat session that I hope will redefine this 50 year old man that has fallen prey to the onslaught of body fat.</p>
<p>I need to lose body fat was the only thing I told my wife back at home.  She had the same sparkle in the corner of her pretty eyes, her lovely face tender with wisdom and love and as she looked at me she said:  &#8220;we all need to lose body fat my love!</p>
<p>Body fat!  Yep, we all need to lose it!  Some of us more than others!</p>

<p><strong>Truth number two</strong>: If they can do it, we should really be able to do it also, even if no two bodies are ever the same!</p>
<p>This website is dedicated to weight loss and above all the pursuit of fat loss leading to the elimination of a fat tummy! It is a based on a love/hate relationship the majority of us have towards our bodies, dieting and exercising practices.</p>
<p>We dieters are a special bunch! We are by in large (no pun intended) well informed about what is good for our body but not so good when it comes to the organization of this knowledge and how we should apply it.</p>
